Products listed in the China Compulsory Certification catalogue cannot be imported, sold or used in business activities without the required CCC certification. The applicable implementation rule and GB standard must be checked for the exact product, and CE or UL marking does not replace CCC where CCC is mandatory. Current official self declaration rules require an overseas producer using that route to work through an authorized representative registered in China, while applicant structures under other CCC routes depend on the relevant implementation rule. Chinese marking and documentation requirements should therefore be confirmed product by product.
